Get answers to common questions about Powder brows.
Powder brows typically last 12–24 months depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Many clients schedule a color-refresh or minor touch-up every 12–18 months to maintain definition and optimal longevity.
Most clients feel minimal discomfort thanks to topical numbing applied before and during the Powder brows procedure. You may notice light pressure or brief sensitivity, but overall the experience is well-tolerated and quick.
Initial healing takes about 7–14 days as pigment settles and light scabbing may occur. Color often appears darker at first then softens; full healing and true color reveal occur over 4–6 weeks with a recommended follow-up.
While many clients are suitable, contraindications include pregnancy, breastfeeding, blood-thinning medications, active skin infections, autoimmune issues or recent chemical peels. A full consultation and medical history review determine safety and suitability.
Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E and excessive caffeine for 24–48 hours before your Powder brows appointment. Arrive with clean skin, no brow makeup, and postpone if you have a sunburn or recent facial treatments.
Follow your technician’s aftercare: keep brows dry initially, avoid saunas, swimming and makeup, apply recommended ointment sparingly, and protect from sun. Book a 6–8 week touch-up and yearly maintenance to preserve pigment and shape.
